2016 Abstract Guidelines

Abstract submission deadline September 10th 2016

Total Character limit (including, Title, Authors and Affiliations, and Abstract body): 3000 characters; no more than 1 page if you include figures.

Abstract body must include statement of purpose, methods, results, and conclusion sections:

Purpose should include 1) a brief introductory section, 2) a hypothesis or statement of gap in the knowledge base, and 3) the goal of the study to be presented.

Methods should include a concise description of the methods used in the study, including:

    • Age, sex, and species used
    • Techniques used
    • Data and statistical analyses

Results should contain data that supports the hypothesis proposed in the Purpose section, including

    • Figures (keep the abstract and any included figures to a total of 1 page)
    • Tables
    • Any statistical analyses that was done

Conclusion section should include conclusions drawn from the evidence presented in the Results section of the abstract.
